Immigration consultants are regulated by the Secretary of State of California. There are numerous requirements for the immigration consultant. One requirement is that they are required to issues a contract in English and the client's language. Some other requirements are that they cannot provide legal advice, must provide a statement that they are not attorneys, and provide a provision in their contract that the client can cancel the contract within 72 hours.

Among a California notary public's various roles, one is to serve as an officer that authenticates the signing of important legal documents. A notary public may not advertise in Spanish as "notario publico." If a notary public completes immigration forms, the notary cannot charge more than $15.00 per form. Remember, when buying a used vehicle, you are usually buying the vehicle "as is", unless you purchase a warranty for the vehicle. It is highly recommended to have an independent mechanic inspect the used vehicle prior to buying the vehicle. When you purchase a new vehicle, you purchase the vehicle because you want a vehicle that will be reliable and not have to worry about breakdowns. When your vehicle begins to break down the warranty should cover the costs of any repair as explained in the vehicle’s original warranty. In California, if the vehicle manufacturer is unable to repair the vehicle after a reasonable number of repair attempts, or has been out of service for 30 or more days, the consumer may be entitled to a repair, replacement or repurchase of the vehicle.
